National Memory Screening

8 November 2007 No Comment

November 13th is the National Memorial Screening Day. This is an effort led by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to promote the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. I have many friends whose relatives have Alzheimer’s disease and I can assure you , it is one of the most depressing things to go through . I for one make it an effort to contribute some of my Forex Trading earnings to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. It is good for me in two ways, I do feel good about contributing to such a worthy cause and it also helps me reduce my tax bill being a self employed forex trader.

Having seen what Alzheimer’s can do to a loved one, we are encouraged to take memory screenings in order to be able to detect it earlier. It makes sence for anyone concerned with memory loss, a history of the disease or simply for those who wish to establish a baseline score for future comparison. There are very great tips on successful aging tips at the Alzheimer’s Foundation website which mainly deal with memory .One of the tips is to participate in activities that stimulate your brain and for us Forex Traders, I think we have that part covered. For those of us who are getting older spreading the word about these tips might bring us good Karma.

November is probably the final month for those who wish to make deductable tax contributions and by helping the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America , it will be good for your taxes and also will help in trying to figure out how to cure this disease . It is also important to be able to have an association that is trying to ensure quality care for those who suffer from the disease. Let’s show that forex traders are also compassionate and send our holiday gift to the AFA
