Oh boy!

I just realized that it has been a whole year since I lasted posted on my own blog. How fast time flies. I had not abandoned forex trading just enjoying myself and finding no need to be posting.

I just had to tell you about taking a holiday in Pembrokeshire, UK. I know there’s a Pembroke somewhere in New Hampshire but I think the original is much better. For those who love luxury holidays, its time to save up and take a trip to some of the best countryside in the world.

For those of us who love golfing, nothing seems better than those golf courses and yet I don’t know how to play golf. Just seeing green grass makes me smile. I never knew you could take Golf Holiday Wales and enjoy yourself. The are the true meaning of living well. There is a 9 hole headland course over Caldey Island that has stunning and amazing views.

When you are through playing golf, don’t forget to visit the spa and for me the wine bar . So next time you are thinking of taking a break, there would be nothing wrong in looking to the UK. It really is not such a bad country after all.

Forex ain’t easy my friends

I came back today after a long layoff and found my site amongst the top 50 forex sites online . Then I had to wonder , how can a site that has not been updated for more than a month be amongst the top 50 in 100topforexsites .

So I did some research and came to the conclusion that forex trading ain’t no easy. As a blogger I should use some SEO and and say 4x made easy. However forex ain’t no easy.

I was one of the first members of moneytec a long time ago. So long I can’t even remember my handle but I do remember the friends I met there. Some were simple guys like me, some were sharp kids in college and all in between. Of my yahoo messenger 100 list at that time , I only know of none and I mean none other than me who is still trading. Ok I’m there but I’m not counting me.

I have met alot of so called gurus, the only ones I know that still exist are Teresa Lo, Peter Bain and Rob Booker. If I forgot anyone in that list it’s because you weren’t a guru. I can assure you that gurus appear every day. Those are the only ones I know that still exist after 5 yrs of trading.

I have seen forex systems aplenty. Trust me if you have a forex system that you think I don’t know, try me. I now have my own opinion about forex systems but that’s another topic. I have seen too many ( I did not say very many) metatrader ea’s ,tradestation systems, amibroker systems, fibonacci trader systems etc and I mean etc I keep on asking myself, how come the ea works with strategy builder demo but can’t work with northfinance. Those who have been here for sometime can understand why metatrader ea’s don’t work in the long run.

I have gone through every damn emotion a trader can go through . From thinking I was a genious to blaming my broker to feeling really stupid and everything in between.I have seen my accounts wiped out in minutes , I have seen them triple in seconds .I have even enjoyed other traders doing badly because I thought I was better than them. Until you don’t pay for your utilities because you added a few dollars in your trading account, I don’t believe you are a trader yet.

I have decided that trading ain’t easy. Forex systems are not the trick. Forex signals make the scammer the money.. Forex forums are definatly to be avoided. Forex chat rooms are the next step to poverty. Forex software are really not cheap. Forex blogs are never updated. Forex ain’t no 4x made easy my friends.

This is a business like any other where you learn as you go. Somehow in your journey to make a living out of this you will need to

Learn Technical Analysis
Learn Fundamental Analysis
Learn some Economics
Learn some Accounting
Learn your own psychology
Learn to think like a trader and lastly
Learn how to do business

All this entails going to amazon and buying books from failed gurus but you do have to start somewhere. I can only wish you good luck but all in all. Forex trading is the best business I have ever done. I have gone through alot but it was worth every damn sweat I had. I hope to be talking and chating to my fellow entreprenuers for the next 5 yrs. That is if I am still around.

Sopranos

I just got finished with the sopranos for the last time and boy I really don’t know what happened.

This to me is just the second best tv program. The best is The Wire.

However seeing so many of Tony Sopranos guys get whacked this season and so fast makes you wonder …….is life so fleeting? For a particular reason ,they had to play Journey’s ‘don’t stop believing’ . and then nothing !

This is my theory. I believe they got a terrorist attack. I shall discuss my thinking later.



Top 5 Forex Forums

Joining forex forums is one of the easiest ways to learn from other forex traders.Forex trading can be a very lonely business . I don’t go for chat rooms as they can make you make the wrong trades but do spend alot of time in forex forums. There are now over 100 forex forums . All of them can be helpful to the forex trader but some are essential


1. Forex Factory 
One of the best features they have here is the forex calendar. The community is very active. However be very careful of following the most loved systems in this forex forum. Some are pushed by business partners so be very very careful at forex factory. However , it’s a great forex forum to join.
2. MoneyTec
This was my first forex forum to some now 6 years ago. At that time I really don’t remember any other forex forum out there. So I can say that money tec is a must forex forum for anyone who wants to learn how to trade forex. However note that they also have preferred brokers like gft forex.
3. Oanda Forex Forum
Probably the best forex forum online. I have a negative opinion on owner owned forex forums but this one is a good one. Forex novices and experts have different set ups and I have to admit that I have met a few forex friends there as well as good systems that I implement. 
4. Forex Boards
One of the newest forex forums but it’s good. 
5. BabyPips Forex Forum
Very good forex forum . However most of the traders are very new. Probably because baby pips main site is the best forum for new traders
6. Niatrading
Ok not in the top 100 but we have to plug our own forum .We hope to be on our own top 5 list by the end of the year.

I am catching a bug in this blogging thing. It makes me relax from all the trading. At the same time just writing about forex trading can be a bit monotonous. So I decided to add a new category on the things I like on the internet. Most will not be related to forex.
I came across Dosh Dosh’s blog and he has an interesting technorati exchange experiment. Those that are blog owners and they are many who come here may be interested in the experiment.
